2019 Rioja Reserva, Marqués de Murrieta

2019 is a particularly beautiful vintage at Marques de Murrieta. A blend of 87% Tempranillo, 6% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo and 2% Garnacha, aged for 24 months in American oak barrels, colour is mid ruby-garnet, aromas being expressive and pure, with notes of black fruits, sweet spice, with mineral, herbal tones. Palate is full bodied and layered, having focussed, black berry flavours, with underlying slatey freshess. This is a precisely structured Murrieta, boasting supple tannins and a long finish.
