These vines (partly 50, partly 60 years old) are planted on clay-rich soil, downhill from Beaune Clos des Mouches, near Pommard’s boundary. Just two barrels could be made this vintage, neither of which is new. Colour is rich ruby-purple, Pinot Noir aromas are bright and beautiful, palate is supple, showing fine fruit, gentle tannins and good length (for drinking 2024-2032+).
