This comes from three plots of 60-70-year-old Gamay vines in the beautiful Nantoux valley. 50% whole bunches were retained for fermentation, with the balance being de-stemmed, and no punching down took place, to ensure gentle fruit extractions. The wine aged in 500 litre oak barrels. Colour is ruby-purple of medium depth, aromas are cleanly fruity. Palate shows tight, intense fruitiness, very appetising, with lively length (superb value, for drinking 2023-2025).
