Description

Les Coulaires is a charming, juicy Syrah from two clay-limestone hillside plots: Les Coulaires and Les Châssis Est. Its 10-month ageing in concrete vat has encapsulated its beautiful, vibrant scent, recalling fresh red and black cherries with notes of violet. This is full, generously fruity and freshly structured, finishing silky and with lift (for drinking 2023-2025+).

Romain Roudier’s family has been rooted in the Northern Rhône village of Larnarge, just north of Tain l’Hermitage, for generations. Apricot, cherry and lavender farming was the key focus of their 20-hectare property, but Romain’s arrival in 2010 brought with it a passion to cultivate vines. He has been independently bottling his own wines at their new on-site winery since the 2020 vintage, with 2021 being his first to have organic certification.

The domaine`s wines are anchored on finesse and purity, having natural charm.
