The Sauvignon Blanc grapes for the Rouzé family`s Quincy come from the Villalin vineyard, which lies on the right bank of the River Cher. “I love this terroir,” Côme Rouzé tells us. “Compared with Quincy from the left bank, where soils are more iron-rich, Villalin has more pebbles and limestone, giving a more subtle, mineral style.” 2022 is a great success here, aromas being expressive, recalling greengage and fresh lime. Palate is medium bodied, fresh and tense, having attractive silkiness of texture and a fine, dry, stony finish.
