This 2015 is a traditional house blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from 20 Grands and Premiers Crus vineyards. It is a vintage that will be remembered for its warm, dry summer, which resulted in beautifully ripe grapes – and excellent quality, particularly for Pinot Noir. The resulting wine is rich, rounded and intense, having impeccable balancing crispness.
“Very powerful, emphatic nose that suggests the riches to come. Fine mousse. Clean as a whistle. A hint of crème pâtissière with a very crisp, long finish. Super-accessible already – though not for the zero-dosage brigade. Drink 2022-2028” – Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com (Jan 2022).
