2016 Saint-Joseph Blanc Méribets, Domaine Vallet

A new addition to our line-up from Vallet, this white Saint-Joseph caught our attention for its lovely, stony, citrus-apricot scent, and its fine, intense, precise palate. A blend of 80% Roussanne (aged in not-new oak barrels) and 20% Marsanne (aged in stainless steel tank), colour is pale lemon-green, palate starting full bodied and ripe, the finish being clean, silky and wonderfully fresh (for drinking 2018-2020).
