This is a rarely-seen 1st Growth Beaune, recently acquired by Faiveley, and one of the Domaine’s rising stars. It is always one of their first plots to ripen, as the vines face due south. It lies in the northern sector of Beaune’s vineyards, not far from Les Fèves and Les Bressandes, high on the hill. Bright, purple-ruby, with discreetly fresh aromas, this has intense fruit from start to finish, well-judged tannins and fine length. Not for rapid consumption, it will reach its peak after 3-4 years bottle-age (for drinking 2023-2030+).
