“Le Montrachet, when it is youthful, is always rather restrained, never explosive,” Jean-Marc Blain likes to say. Production in 2019 was tiny, and we are very fortunate to have an allocation. This is pale, green-golden in colour, with richly complex, floral aromas. Palate shows massive volume, with wonderful, creamy texture, mouth-coating, ripe fruitiness, and bright acidity on the finish. The aftertaste is magnificently long and mouth-coating (for drinking 2023-2030+).
