2019 Meursault 1er Cru Blagny La Pièce Sous Le Bois, Domaine Chapelle de Blagny

This wine comes from 60-year old vines and shows exceptional concentration. Only two barrels were made in 2019, and no new oak was used for the ageing. In colour, golden green of medium depth, and this has rich aromas showing great distinction. There are many layers of flavour on the palate, with intense fruitiness and superbly-judged, balancing acidity. A gorgeous wine (for drinking 2022-2028+).
