2019 Vosne-Romanee Aux Communes, Domaine Seguin-Manuel

This is the seventh vintage that Thibaut Marion has owned Vosne-Romanée vines – a rare and precious addition to his cellar. Having experimented with adding a proportion of whole bunches (for vintages 2013-17) Thibaut has concluded that, for this vineyard, 100% de-stemming gives more flesh and volume to the wine, so this was the policy followed for the 2019. Colour is red-purple of medium depth, aromas being finely fruity, very open. Palate is ample, elegant and rich, with harmonious, gentle tannins, and refreshing, delicate finish (for drinking 2022-2028+).
