This famous Premier Cru lies across a narrow road from Grand Cru Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet. The wine comes from a single plot which was planted in 1958-61, and it encapsulates what is most astonishing and seductive about top First Growth Puligny-Montrachet. Beautiful, green-gold in colour, this shows appetising, very fine aromas. 25% new barrels have contributed to this wine’s complexity and silkiness, the palate being richly built, gorgeously textured, sumptuously long (for drinking 2022-2030+).
