Indigenous to the Alto Adige, this Schiava comes from the oldest Kurtatsch vineyards, growing between 300 and 400 metres above sea-level. These old vines produce naturally low yields of high-quality grapes. The 2018 is the prettiest of colours: a very pale, bright, glinting ruby. The aromas are floral and enticing, with rich hints of caramelised cherries, vanilla pod and orange peel. This is a charming, lively, light bodied wine, with a stony purity and a beguiling, creamy texture.
