Crémant d`Alsace Brut, Domaine Zinck NV
Let’s first talk about something which shouldn’t make a difference: the label on this wine is truly beautiful. Legions of sparklers have plain, dull script, yet Philippe Zinck, in his wisdom, gives us an image of the flavour by painting it as an alluring sprite. Made in the ‘méthode traditionelle’ (Champagne style), from Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, it is a beautiful wine which sits above all Prosecco in grandeur, above most Cava in fragrance and well below Champagne in price. This sophisticated Crémant will amaze you.
HH&C`s tasting note: From Philippe Zinck in Eguisheim, this outstanding Crémant d’Alsace is a meticulous blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. Pale, lemon-gold colour, with vivacious bubbles, aromas are floral and lemony, with delicate biscuit character. The palate is mouth-filling and crisp, with a long, satisfying finish. This is sold as a case of 12 bottles. Price includes delivery to the UK mainland.
