Lying on gently rolling gravelly hills, deposited aeons ago by the river Garonne, Clos Marsalette’s 12-hectare estate is jointly owned by Count Stephan von Neipperg and Didier Miqueu. Their unwavering focus is on producing a wine that transparently reflects the typicity of the Pessac Terroir. Medium-deep ruby colour, aromas are engagingly lifted, with notes of toasty spice and floral cassis. This is full bodied and creamily textured, having charming, pure middle and a perfectly balanced, gently tannic finish (for drinking now-2028+).
