This flagship Two Paddocks Pinot Noir is a barrel selection from organic grapes from the Neill family’s four vineyards: The Fusilier in Bannockburn, The Last Chance and The Red Bank in Alexandra, and The First Paddock in Gibbston. In 2018, 25% whole bunches went into the fermentation vats, contributing aromatic complexity, floral freshness and fine structure to the wine. The 10 months it spent in French barriques (20% new) has brought lusciousness of texture and beautiful spiciness of flavour, enhancing the wine’s natural, sweet red berry fruit. This is full bodied, energetic, and well-concentrated, with an elegantly long finish (for drinking 2020-2023+).
