2017 Château Haut Madrac, Haut-Médoc

With vineyards bordering those of Pauillac 5th Growth Château Lynch-Moussas, and under the same ownership (the Castéja family), Château Haut-Madrac produces a classical style of Haut-Médoc, having character and elegance. 52% Cabernet Sauvignon with 48% Merlot make up the 2017 blend, which aged for 14 months in 25% new French oak barrels. Mid ruby colour, the nose has alluring notes of blackberries and spice. Body is full, having lovely concentration, precise structure and a clean, well-balanced finish (13.5%).
