The Clusel-Roch family is most famously celebrated for their Syrah from the vertiginous slopes of Côte-Rôtie. More recent vineyard purchases have extended into the nearby Coteaux du Lyonnais, where it is the Gamay grape that thrives. The vines lie in the village of Millery, in the southern sector of the appellation, on gentle, south-east facing slopes. Bright ruby-purple colour, this is a crunchy, buoyant, unoaked wine, having light body, beautiful scented, red summer fruit flavours, and a radiant, lively finish.
