2020 Pouilly-Fumé, Domaine Serge Dagueneau et Filles

The Dagueneau domaine is situated in the commune of Les Berthiers, combining complex soils of chalky, kimmeridgian marl (containing millions of tiny oyster shells) and flints. It has been in the capable hands of Serge`s daughter, Valérie for many years, where she excels in producing elegant wines from the family`s 18 hectare estate. This 2020 has a pale lemon colour, the nose being intensely woven and fragrant, with notes of elderflower and gooseberry. Palate is full bodied and broad; flavours are rich, texture is luscious, the finish vivacious and persistent.
