This château’s vines are superbly situated on the plateau of one of Pauillac’s best sectors. It rubs shoulders with vineyards belonging to classed growths Grand-Puy-Ducasse and Lynch-Moussas, and until 1948 formed part of the 4th Growth Ch. Duhart-Milon. The 2020 has been assembled from 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc. Top quality Cabernets and superb Merlots – all picked during September – have given a purple-ruby wine of medium depth and ripe fruitiness. Palate is immediately impressive, fruitiness is well-sustained, aftertaste is mouth-coating and long (for drinking 2025-2035+).
