This property has been in the Jean-Pierre Moueix stable since 1953, and today is one of their most lusciously charming Pomerols. It is 100% planted with Merlot vines, which average 25 years of age, lying partly on gravels, partly clay. The 2020 is ageing in 30% new barrels, which are already perfectly integrated into the wine’s fruitiness. Colour is bright, ruby-purple of medium depth, the nose being subtly aromatic and complex. Palate shows rich intensity, gently-built tannins, and splendid, harmonious length (for drinking 2024-2032+).
