This is a tiny property of 2.3 hectares, which nestles within the vineyard of Château Bélair-Monange, on Saint-Emilion’s classic limestone plateau. Vines average 25 years of age. The 2020 was made 100% from hand-picked Merlot grapes, now ageing in 50% new oak barrels. In 2020, it is again superb: bright, garnet-ruby in colour, with ripely complex aromas. Fruitiness on the palate is intense and fresh, the middle being strongly sustained, the after-taste harmonious, lively and long (for drinking 2025-2035).
