2021 Château Bourgneuf, Pomerol

This property has been in the Vayron family since 1840, for 8 generations. The vineyards are managed and the wine made by the talented Frédérique Vayron, who this year has assembled 15% Cabernet Franc with 85% Merlot to constitute the blend. Colour is rich, deep purple, aromas are open, clean and abundant. This has good structure, notable freshness with ample fruit and gentle tannins. An elegant, classically formed Pomerol (for drinking 2025-2036+).
