2021 Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste, 5ème Cru Classé Pauillac

The vines of Grand-Puy-Lacoste lie on mounds of fast-draining gravels on the heights above Pauillac, perfectly exposed to sunshine and beneficial breezes. Average age of the vines, which lie all around the château, is 39 years. This 2021 is a classic example from the château, being 85% Cabernet Sauvignon with 25% Merlot. With 13% abv, it has bright, fine fruitiness and impeccable balance (for drinking 2027-2042+).
