Solely owned by the family, this is Pommard’s tiniest 1st Growth, located in the heart of the village, in view of the sturdy church tower. The vines are seriously old (planted in 1954), the grapes being 100% de-stemmed in 2018. They fermented in two barrels which were rolled, but not punched down or pumped over. Production was less than 300 magnums in 2018, giving a fascinating wine of singularly spicy perfume with chewy, richly textured, long flavoured, mellow fleshiness (for drinking 2023-2035+). Allocations are tiny here.
