Champerrier is a red-soil vineyard on the northern, Brochon side of Gevrey, lying where the slope begins to soften, beneath Les Champeaux. Vine-age averages more than 60 years, and 30% whole bunches went into the vat. This is deeply purple, with smoky, ripe black fruit aromas. Palate is plump and well-rounded, with dense, softly tannic richness on the finish (for drinking 2023-2028+).
