Two-thirds of this vineyard is planted with very old vines (aged 60 years or more), the balance with vines aged 35+. This is once again the most richly structured wine in the Clair cellar – magnificent, though more backward than Clos de la Comme. The wine is ageing in 20% new barrels. Deep purple in colour, with plush, ripe aromas, this shows impressive fruit concentration, well-rounded mid-palate, great potential and splendid length (for drinking 2024-2030+).
