This comes from an early-ripening plot not far from the village, uphill from Echézeaux. The soil is stony, giving a deeply-coloured wine with intense perfume, including black fruits and liquorice. One of the three barrels containing the wine is new. On the palate, this shows powerful fruit from the outset, following through solidly, with well-ripened tannins (for drinking 2028-2038+).
