This vineyard is situated at the heart of the slope, just south of the village. Blain-Gagnard’s holdings are in two plots, running from the bottom to the top of the site, giving an intricate wine of great complexity. Partly the soils are white, with many pebbles; then higher up, they are marly, with fossil shells. In 2020 this is pale lemon colour, having an intense, lively, lemon-floral aroma. This has great richness and bright energy, with layers of flavour unfurling on the palate. The finish is vivacious and harmonious (for drinking 2022-2029+).
