This is a tiny First Growth vineyard of only 1.2 hectares, surely one of Meursault’s obscurest First Growths, and also one of its best-kept secrets. Regularly one of the Domaine’s last vineyards to be picked, the long, slow ripening allows complex flavours to develop, while acidity slowly falls. The vines average 60 years of age, and lie at the top of the slope, abutting First Growth Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault vines. Pale gold with a green tinge, this shows very fresh, lemony aromas. Palate has intense, bright fruitiness, energy and excellent length (for drinking 2023-2027+).
