Here is a fragrantly ripe, tightly woven, freshly tannic 2016 Brunello, whose slow, 4-year maturation in large old oak botti has contributed intense layers of violet, incense and liquorice flavours. Full and finely concentrated, this has excellent balance between richness and freshness, the finish being elegant, long-flavoured and chewy. A wine that will age magnificently (for drinking 2023-2030+).
