These vines are aged between 45 and 70 years old. They lie just below the First Growth Carelle (which is featured below) and are perfectly oriented to catch sunshine at full strength. Soils are shallow, being rich in clay, iron and pebbles. In colour, this is purple-ruby of medium depth, the aromas calling up thoughts of cherries and other black, ripe fruits. Palate is generously mouth-filling, with very pretty texture, impressive ripeness and lovely length (for drinking 2018-2022+).
