These vines form a well-drained, south-facing plot on the Vosne-Romanée side of the village, where a small valley leads up towards the hills. In a cool year, breezes down the valley can slow the ripening process, but the drought and heat of 2015 really favoured this site. Colour is medium, ruby-purple, the nose being deliciously aromatic, fresh and fine. Palate shows structure, concentrated fruit and exceptional finesse. This is a generous wine with creamy texture and beautifully balanced, long aftertaste (for drinking 2020-2030+).
