This wine comes from a vineyard which has now reached full maturity, having been planted 25 years ago, in 1992. The land is east-facing and gently sloping, with a narrow band of fertile, clay-rich soil over-laying the limestone rock. This gives a powerful wine, with dense fruitness and good potential for ageing. It was bottled in June 2017. Colour is bright, rich purple, nose showing lively, red fruit aromas. Palate starts round, with ample fruitiness, then comes fine structure, with excellent length (for drinking winter 2018-2025+).
