This wine comes from two First Growth plots within Morgeot: Les Brussonnes and Les Boirettes, both planted over 85 years ago. They lie between the Abbaye de Morgeot and the Santenay commune border. These are really fine Pinots giving small bunches with tiny, thick-skinned grapes. Colour is bright, rich purple-ruby, with aromas which are fresh and pretty. Palate shows chewy fruit concentration, with a fine balance between structure, mouthcoating tannins and splendid length (for drinking 2020-2028+).
