Contrasting with Faiveley’s more immediately charming Mercurey Rouge La Framboisière, their First Growth Clos des Myglands regularly gives wines of impressive structure, rich depth of flavour, with excellent potential for ageing. Medium purple-ruby in colour, the wine shows spicy, blueberry and red berry aromas of great intensity. Palate is full-bodied, with fleshy, mouth-filling texture, well knit, fine tannins, great follow-through and elegant length. This is superb value (for drinking 2018-2030+).
