The Barton family of St-Julien’s prestigious Châteaux Langoa and Léoville Barton purchased this Moulis property in 2011. The soils combine pure gravel banks – perfect for Cabernet – and chalky clay – ideal for Merlot. This is a generous, well-structured style of Bordeaux. Palate here is incredibly attractive being medium bodied and supple, with a fleshy middle of pure cassis and spice flavours. The finish is fine, fresh and long-lingering – a wine which shows true class.
