The 2015 was assembled from 95% Merlot with 5% Cabernet Franc. Eric Murisasco, technical director here, and indeed for all the Moueix family wines, commented, “In 2015, climatic conditions were particularly favourable for this wine in Saint-Emilion, with grape maturity being evenly and completely achieved. The hallmark of the 2015 vintage is without doubt the wines’ aromatic complexity in the mouth – which gives the impression of biting into grapes, with gusto.”
The colour of this Puy-Blanquet 2015 is rich ruby-garnet, the nose being open, vividly fruity and fresh. The palate has splendid structure with charming fruit, gentle tannins and silky, long aftertaste (for drinking 2021-2025+).
