This is the second wine of Ch. de Sales, which is one of Pomerol’s best loved traditional properties, owned by the de Lambert family for over 5 centuries. Owner Bruno de Lambert told us : “This is my 42nd vintage, and certainly one of the three best I’ve made during my career. Everything was good this year.” The vines grow on fine gravel and sandy, well-draining soils, and in 2016 have produced a wine of beautiful, supple fruitiness. Gentle tannins merge with refreshing acidity to give a harmonious, succulent Pomerol which will be totally delicious (for drinking 2019-2025+).
