2019 Château Moulin de la Rose, Saint-Julien

A tiny 5 hectare plot nestled among the Saint-Julien Classed Growths, this 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot estate is part of the Guy Delon family. Now ably run by Guy’s children, Jean-François and Guylène, their 2019 vintage is a beautiful wine. Bright purple colour, the aromas are very fine, elegant, floral, with rich black fruits and spice. There is power here, with good grip and freshness to balance the rich, supple, creamy textures. Fruit is intense and bright, the finish is long and complex (for drinking 2026 – 2037+)
