This wine comes from two First Growth plots within Morgeot, Les Brussonnes and Les Boirettes, both planted over 85 years ago. They lie between the Abbaye de Morgeot and the Santenay commune border. These are really fine Pinots giving small bunches with tiny, thick-skinned grapes. Colour is impressively deep, with the nose being cleanly fruity, yet presently discreet. This is a strikingly impressive wine for laying down, with splendid, ripe tannins and mouth-coating, complex length (for drinking 2019-2027+).
