This comes from vines which are more than 50 years old, previously owned by Thibaut Marion`s uncle, François, who passed away in 2019. It enjoys ample sunshine, bringing the Pinot Noir grapes to perfect ripeness, as the vines lie high up on Beaune’s slope of Premiers Crus. “Between 5 and 7 years old is the perfect moment to open Bressandes,” says Thibault. He is spot on with this 2017, which has a lively ruby colour, aromas being pure and fresh, with complex notes of floral, delicately spiced red fruits. Palate is elegant and round, having vibrancy and intense fruitiness, underlined by fine tannins. The finish is long, deep and refreshing (for drinking 2022-2027+).
