This comes from a broad swathe of 1st Growth vineyard in mid-slope, which runs up to the commune boundary with Pommard. Not surprisingly, it consistently makes one of Beaune’s most structured, long-lived wines. Colour is rich, purple-ruby, aromas are presently discreet, yet fresh and fine. Palate shows impressive, plump fruitiness, with generous body and ripe tannins on the finish (for drinking 2020-2028+).
