“Between 2012 and 2016 we were pulverised by hail or frost here,” says Claudie Jobard. Finally, in 2017 the vines gave a normal crop – just 4 barrels. There is one new barrel, one which is a year old, and two which are older. Vines are planted on clay-rich soil, lying below the famous Clos des Mouches. In colour, this is bright, fresh purple, with a nose showing lively fruit intensity. Palate has broad, concentrated, fresh fruitiness, with gentle, fine aftertaste (for drinking 2020-2026+).
