This Grand Cru aged in a single, new oak barrel, whose staves had aged 3 years in the open air, to ensure that green tannins were leached away, and optimum humidity of the wood was naturally achieved. Colour is rich, ruby-purple, aromas are plentiful, fresh and complex. This is a wine with concentrated, deep layers of fruit. Palate combines impressive structure with silky, mouth-coating texture of sensational smoothness, and magnificent length (for drinking 2021-2032+).
