This wine comes from two 1st Growth plots within Morgeot, Les Brussonnes and Les Boirettes, both planted over 85 years ago. They lie between Abbaye de Morgeot and the Santenay commune border. The really fine Pinot plants give small bunches with tiny, thick-skinned grapes. 4 barrels were made in 2017, of which one was new oak. Colour is deep purple-ruby, the nose emerges spicily. Palate has impressive structure, dense fruitiness and rich, ripe tannins. The finish is impressively long, showing fine potential (for drinking 2021-2030+).
