This vineyard is high on the hillside, facing due south. It gives a powerful wine which is full of energy. Breezes coming down the little valley which leads up from the 1st Growths here help to evaporate liquid from the berries, concentrating the juices. Bright purple-ruby in colour, this has richly spicy, complex aromas. It’s a bright, lively wine, with impressive fruit intensity, solid texture and well-rounded tannins, with splendid length (for drinking 2021-2030+).
