Champerrier is a red-soil vineyard on the northern, Brochon side of Gevrey, lying where the slope begins to soften, downhill from the First Growths. 25% whole bunches went into the vat, giving a wine of vibrant colour, solidly fruity nose, and densely-structured, rich palate. Slower to evolve than the Vieilles Vignes wine, this shows good length and fine potential (for drinking 2020-2028+).
