From the Petits-Epenots section of the vineyard, these vines have given a wine of outstanding, savoury fruitiness. Nose and palate are where the action is, for – as with all the domaine’s wines – colour is a pretty purple-ruby, not very deep. Fragrant fresh cherry aromas leap from the glass, followed by sensuous fruitiness, rich structure, impeccably balanced acidity and tannins. This is a superb wine, for medium-term ageing (for drinking 2022-2032+).
