2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Dix Climats, Domaine Drouhin-Laroze

The Domaine owns 4 hectares of village Gevrey-Chambertin, from which they regularly make one of the most impressive examples of the appellation. In 2018, 30% whole bunches went into the fermentation vats, and the wine has been ageing in 40% new oak barrels. This is purple-red of medium depth, with richly spicy, fresh aromas. Palate is full-bodied, showing rich, dense fruitiness, well-rounded tannins and a tender, supple finish (for drinking 2021- 2028+).
